University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM) Women’s Center is committed in supporting undergraduate and graduate students with personal and academic success. UHM Women’s Center is a direct service provider that supports student initiated programs, events, and clubs such as Voices for Choice and the International Spouses Group. UHM Women’s Center also provides referral services for intimate partner violence, sexual assault, legal aid, and other crisis intervention needs.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The National Domestic Violence Awareness Month began from the first Day of Unity observed in October 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), which believes in equality in relationships and helps empower women to take control of their own lives. Campus events for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, such as the Cell Phone Drive, Domestic Violence Shelter Help Drive and The Clothesline Project, are examples of the many women related events that the UHM Women’s Center sponsors every year.

UHM Women’s Center also offers support programs for university students with children (Bridge to Hope); lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender students (LGBT Student Services); and students involved in partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campus (Program Against Violence to Women).
